What are the components of Self-Mastery?

Self-Mastery is the combination of traits that you need for optimal performance. Self-Mastery is like achieving enlightenment, where you're ready for anything, with the right attitude and confidence, with all the knowledge and capacity to learn, as you face new challenges. Receptivity Clarity Confidence

Why do I need Receptivity?

You can only hear what you're ready to hear.  The common problem is people don't even hear what they're not ready to hear.  Being receptive means that you truly respect other people's capabilities, and trust their intentions, since good ideas come from anywhere. Being receptive means you're capable of receiving the gifts that others are trying to give you. Being receptive also means you have the flexibility to stretch your limits, learn new things, and walk new grounds.

"Education's purpose is to replace an empty mind with an open one.“
-- Malcolm Stevenson Forbes

How do I measure receptivity?

Have you ever said "We've always done it that way"?  That's a sure-fire way to extinction in a changing environment.

Self-Mastery is not an absolute measure.  It's a measure applicable to yourself only. You may achieve great things while missing any of the components of self-mastery, but you will not have achieved your potential.  When you achieve self-mastery, you're available for the best opportunities that come your way.
